The New Executive:
The new team has been assembled and plans are already moving ahead to the future. Everyone has been involved with the club since the track opened and Eddie and Grahame have been involved with the club since 2012 inception days - so it's in good and experienced hands.
Thanks and congratulations to the new team of:
Club President: Eddie Roberts
Club Secretary: Lauren Saunders
Club Treasurer: Peter Whittle
Vice Presidents: Grahame Spencer and Sam Kilgore
Trail Maintenance Co-Ordinator - Gary Miller
Sponsorship Co-Ordinator - Troy Godbee.
Thanks to the departing executive of Alissan Serra, Jeremy Edwards and Hugh Flower for bringing to this juncture.
Trail Maintenance Progress:
With the formation of the new committee, we are really starting to gain a bit of momentum now. Its great to see so many volunteers putting their hands up to volunteer and we thank you all.
The Trails have been holding up very well with all this rain, a credit to the builders.
Trail Corridor Team:
We have a dedicated team of volunteer contractors who are willing to put in big efforts in maintaining the trail corridor. Lots of Brush cutting, whipper snipping, and weed removal. I would like to thank these team members for their efforts. This group is working between themselves organising times to work together.
We are seeking just a couple of volunteers to randomly call upon to help this team for the non-mechanical tasks such as raking, traffic management, buntings etc. Usually weekdays in the evening. If interested please email trails@tvmtbr.com.au (Subject: Trail Corridor Team)
Monthly Trail Maintenance Days:
Generally, the Monthly Trail Maintenance Days will be held on the Second Sunday of every month, although may vary a bit.
Trail Maintenance involves repairs, minor alterations, raking, drainage control and much more. It however does not involve any powered mechanical tools.
So far we have had excellent turnout for these days and we thank you all for your participation and continued support. We will be establishing incentives and loyalties for regular volunteers further up the track, so to speak.
It’s a great way to meet fellow riders, do some great work for the trails and gain a respect for trails and their maintenance.
We will generally try to limit the number to a maximum of 10 volunteers unless a special task requires more. So first in best dressed.
See you all on the next trail day
Thanks
